アニメ第144話で初登場。妖怪大辞典によると「ブカッコウにとりつかれると、どんなにきちんとした人もぶかっこうになってしまう。ぶかっこうなことに本人もけっこう落ち込んでいる。」トホホギスや死神鳥の色違いです。
Bukakko is a member of the Eerie Clan and makes its first appearance in episode 144 of the anime. It is given the name Flumpy in the English version of the game. Anyone possessed by this yokai becomes awkward and unfashionable. Even the ‘coolest’ of people become totally unstylish. 「ブカッコウ」’bukakko’ is a play on the combination of 「不格好」bukakkō which translates as ‘unstylish’ and 「カッコウ」’kakkō’ which is a ‘cuckoo’.
